Two brothers, newly moved into an Oregon town with their single mother ( Teri Polo), uncover a sinister bottomless pit in their cellar basement. " You've got a gateway to hell under your house ," say the pretty blonde neighbour. Hell is subjective, for her ( Haley Bennet ), it is a tragedy from her childhood. For the 15 year old brother ( Chris Massoglia ) it is his violent convict father. For the younger boy ( Nathan Gamble ) it is puppets. And for the audience, none of this terribly scary . The Hole is a genial family horror lowkey and old school even in its 3d effects, which are fully exploited only in the final purgatorial decent.

Director Joe Dante's first feture since 2003's Looney tunes : Back in action is a throwback to his pro-millennium Gremlins, Piranha and Small Soldiers. It is enjoyable as much as humorous warmth as the chills is teaching life lessons about confronting one's deepest buried fears.

The Horror Specialist Ghost House Underground, Paramount Studios and Studio Canal have aquired the American and UK distribution rights to Haunted Changi .
This Singapore Low Budgeter is a faux horror documentary , Comprising the 'original' footage shot between January 2010 and april of a film crew who entered the notoriously haunted Old Changi Hospital to explore the abandoned building's history and legends. The stunt is badly and tiresomely derivative, what the foursome, the director Andrew Lau, producer Sheena Chung, soundman Farid Azlam and cameraman Audi Khalis, all but encountering the Blair Witch Project handbook with updatesfrom Cloverfeild and {REC}.

As is even the viral marketing campaign, which , unlike the movie itself, Manages nevertheless to be innovative. The online portal STOMP posting photos from the expedition had 60k hits within days .

There is also a Facebook Group, facebook.com/haunted-changi . The 18000 fans growing by the thousands a day are invited to interact with the characters, whose strident overacting will put paid to any real or scripted debate .
